SunRaising Foundation is proud to support and uplift programs that tackle critical issues with the goal of helping communities find self sufficiency and sustainability. Our approach is twofold. We aim to assist communities with clean energy needs to power their futures while also working to eliminate pollutants in the air, water, and environment.
Today, access to reliable electricity is a cornerstone of modern life, yet 675 million people still live in darkness, without power to light their homes, schools, or businesses. Our renewable energy programs aim to bridge this gap by bringing clean, sustainable energy solutions to underserved communities. By supporting these programs, you can help ignite a brighter, more sustainable future for countless families around the world.
In addition, no community can thrive when pollutants are present. We aim to uplift pollution prevention initiatives that keep plastics and other toxins from contaminating the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the land we inhabit. Sustainable communities are built with sustainable solutions. Eliminating plastic waste is a key part of that goal.

Our sustainable community programs are only as powerful as our partners and we’re proud to work alongside organizations who are experts in the communities they serve. This means partnering with local companies and nonprofits that can help us provide equipment where needed, services, and distribute program donations. Bags to Bedrolls Program
The Bags to Bedrolls program transforms plastic waste into durable bedrolls for our neighbors in need. Give your used plastic grocery bags a new life and provide a comfortable, durable, and reliable place to sleep for someone experiencing homelessness in the Tampa Bay area.
We engage senior volunteers in our region to crochet each individual bedroll, simultaneously addressing the issues of homelessness, plastic waste, and isolation among older adults. In partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay and their Trinity Cafe program, bedrolls will be distributed to those experiencing homelessness in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties.
In 2025, we aim to create 60 bedrolls and divert over 42,000 plastic bags from landfills.
Clean Energy Projects
SunRaising Foundation aims to help underserved communities keep the lights on with solar power solutions.
Alongside a variety of partners and donors including Healing Waters International and Transform Solar, we’re actively working to provide Latin American and Caribbean communities with the power of the sun.
